Air Force IT Day: Feb 23
On February 23, 2012, AFCEA NOVA and the Air Force Association are pleased to bring you the 10th Annual Air Force IT Day, to be held at the Sheraton Premiere, Tysons Corner.

This is a rare opportunity for you to hear first-hand from distinguished Air Force leaders about their vision for the future, the shortfalls of their current capabilities, cyberspace warfare directions and requirements, their plans for executing the cyberspace mission, emerging technologies they need, their acquisition strategies, and specific programs of direct interest to IT professionals.

Invited speakers include:
- The Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force
- The Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans, and Requirements (A3/5)
- The Director of Space Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ)
- The Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (A2)
- The Air Force Chief of Warfighting Integration and the Chief Information Officer (A6/CIO)

As an added bonus, the program will include a panel of distinguished requirements experts from across the Air Force including Air Force Space Command, the Electronics Systems Center, the Air Staff, and the Air Force Office of Acquisition.

AFA Gabriel Chapter Quarterly Luncheon: Feb 23
We are extremely pleased to have as our keynote speaker, BRIGADIER (ret.) GENERAL BERNARD K. SKOCH, CyberPatriot Commissioner of The Air Force Association. The number one threat today is to Cyber Security and the US needs to inspire youth to prepare themselves academically to counter this and future technical threats. Cyber Patriot is creating an awareness among High School students of the threat. This competition inspires them to pursue careers in Science, technology, engineering and math STEM and convinces so many of them that STEM careers are both enjoyable and within their reach.

AFA Gabriel Chapter President, Mr. Ken Spencer, and Brig Gen (Ret) Skoch will also honor our Gabriel Chapter Teachers of the Year for 2011, Ms. Karen Molloy and Ms. Joan Ozdogan

- Active Duty Military: Officers: $30/person and Enlisted $25/person
